Wintertime is a great time to visit Italy! Think of no snow, mild winter weather with highs around 48 C to 50 C, and a pair of sunglasses! Outdoor cafes are open and the piazzas are full of local people enjoying life!
Cost: $3500 per person based on single occupancy contact me if you are interested in double occupancy, which I only recommend in Europe for family or close friends because you share a queen bed.

Feb 12th, Friday: Arrive in Verona! Verona has an amazing Valentine’s Day celebration, Verona in Love! The entire city is decorated in beautiful red, white and pink lights and hearts. They also have a special Valentine’s Day Outdoor Market filled with special European chocolates, delicacies, handmade goods, and prosecco!
6:30 pm – Prosecco and antipasti with Leslie and the Galentine’s.
7:30 pm- Welcome Dinner (included)
Feb 13th, Saturday:
8:30 am – Breakfast (included) – a traditional Italian breakfast with brioches, orange juice, and coffee, cappuccino or tea.
9:30 am- Cecilia, our guide, will meet us for our tour of Verona including the Ancient Arena (approximately 2.5 hours). We will have lunch immediately following the tour. The afternoon is free for you to explore Verona.
Feb 14th, Sunday: 8:00 am – Breakfast (included)
Valpolicella Wine Country Day Trip
8:45 am departure from the hotel to walk to the pick-up point (10 minutes), where we meet the van;
9:15 am We will visit a beautiful villa (only outside)
10:30 a. m. Visit a beautiful and quaint stone village and with its lovely Romanesque church.
12:00 pm. Visit a 300-year-old winery in Valpolicella for wine tasting. The family that runs the winery are decedents of Dante. Lunch with the group. In the afternoon a possible visit of Lazise, Lake Garda. Another nice town at the lake is Sirmione! If the weather is good we will head to Lake Garda, otherwise, we will go back to Verona.
For the late afternoon, dinner and evening you are free to explore Verona.
Feb 15th, Monday: 7:45 am – Breakfast (included)
We will take the train from Verona to Mantua and need to be at the station at 9:00 am. We will meet our guide Manuela at the train station in Mantova. Our tour will include lunch at around 1:15 pm and then we will head back to Verona after lunch. The rest of the day is free for you to explore Verona or stay and take a later train back from Mantua.

You will have time to explore Verona for the late afternoon and then have the opportunity to meet for dinner (not included) with Leslie in Verona at 8:00 pm — or you can go have a Romantic dinner just the two of you! Feb 16th, Tuesday: 8:30 am – Breakfast (included)
The morning is free to explore Verona and we will leave for Padova from the Verona main station and need to be there by 3:30 pm. Look for more exact details of checking out and picking up luggage on Whatsapp. We will be on the Freccia 9733 (fast train). Dinner included in Padua.
Feb 17th, Wednesday: 7:00 am – Breakfast (included)
7:40 am. Walk to the train station. Our private guide will meet us at the train station in Venice.
Venice Tour Itinerary:
Our guide will show us the famous monuments of Venice, starting with San Marco square, Santa Maria Formosa Camp with its church, Fondamenta Nova from there you will experience an amazing view of the North Lagoon Islands and Murano Island, San Giovanni and Paolo Camp, this is an important monumental area in Venice where you can see 3 major attractions: the Church, Scuola Grande di San Marco, and the Majestic Hospital, and the Church of Santi Apostoli with the Tiepolo painting: “The Eyes of St Lucia”, Then we will see Marco Polo’s house and many more hidden treasures of Venice. We will also see the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica with lunch in Venice included. After the tour is completed Those interested may enjoy a Gondola ride (85 Euros per boat plus a tip in cash each) Our lunch will be at 2:30 pm near the Rialto Bridge. We will arrive back in Padova for dinner. We need to be at the main train station at 5:38 pm. Dinner (not included) in Padova could be with Leslie at 8:30 pm or you can go have dinner on your own! February 18th, Thursday: Breakfast (included) anytime before 9:45 am. We will meet our guide, Deborah, at 10:00 am at the hotel. Our tour of Padova will include the Scrovegni Chapel.
The Scrovegni Chapel (Italian: Cappella degli Scrovegni, also known as the Arena Chapel), is a church in Padua, Veneto, Italy. It contains a fresco cycle by Giotto, completed about 1305, and is considered to be an important masterpiece of Western art.
Padova Tour description:
We’ll wander through the picturesque streets, finally arriving at the Scrovegni’s Chapel which contains Giotto’s masterpiece. The lives of Jesus and the Virgin Mary are told through Giotto’s newly created style of painting, based on narration and emotion. Our next stop will be at the Church of the Eremitani where you will have the opportunity to admire one of the first works of the young Andrea Mantegna. As we continue to wander through this area of the city, you will l have a chance to visit the 13th century Palace of Reason located between Erbe and Frutta Squares, the Signori Square, and the University of Padua.
The extraordinary Basilica of St. Anthony is just a few minutes from the Market Squares. St. Anthony, a Portuguese priest and Franciscan friar, asked to be buried in the original small church dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Thousands of visitors travel to Padua each year to honor his tomb and admire the masterpieces of Donatello and Giotto.

There will be an Italian cooking class offered in the afternoon @ 4:00 pm. It would be an additional charge per person and includes dinner.

February 19th, Friday: Breakfast (included) at 8:30 am.
I saw this word and definition on a coffee shop wall in Innsbruck and I loved it! Flaneur (French; noun) one who strolls aimlessly but enjoyably observing life and his surroundings. On, Friday, February 19th, we are going to practice flaneur “ing”! We will have spent all week exploring and seeing the Veneto Region of Italy with our local tour guides. Today is your day to observe aimlessly but enjoy life and your surroundings. You have a choice, you can go back to Venice or Verona for the day, stay in Padua, or explore a new city Ferarra, another UNESCO World Heritage Site which is one hour by train from Padua and explore. No tours today, no agenda, just flanuer “ing”! I will be flaneur “ing” too, and you may join me wherever it is I decide to explore for the day or go to a city that you want to explore more! You will receive 10 Euros toward a round-trip ticket to the city of your choice.
