Group Size: Minimum of 6 people needed for the tour to happen, a maximum of 10 travelers total on tour. We already have a waitlist for this tour for when it goes on sale on June 1, 2020. Email me at leslie.ender@streetviewadventure.com if you are interested in being added to the waitlist.
Cost: $4000 single occupancy, $3700 double/triple occupancy- This price is based on the value of the euro today, if the value of the dollar were to fall more than 5% there would be an additional fee with your final payment.
Includes: lodging (9 nights) plus all breakfasts, 2 dinners, admission to all activities and all transport from the tour start at 6:00 pm on Dec 7th until the tour ends after breakfast on Dec 15th.
Day 1
Welcome dinner! We will be staying our first night in lovely Innsbruck, Austria.
Day 2
Visit a medieval market in Innsbruck, Austria, and a Christmas Market in by the river Inn in a beautiful mountain valley. Standing on the banks of the Inn River, Innsbruck is a delightful city with many treasures to discover. The medieval city center is full of revitalized townhouses, cobbled streets, and alleyways. Candles, torches and open fires will exclusively light the lovely, historic pedestrian precinct!
Day 3
We will ride a gondola up the mountain and see the lovely Alps up close!! Visit the lovely Hungerburg Market that looks over the entire Inn Valley and then also visit the Maria Theresian Market on the main walking and shopping street in Innsbruck. Experience the magic of Christmas in Innsbruck!
Day 4
Visit the beautiful markets of Salzburg! The smell of kinder punch, Glühwein and toasted almonds, hot roasted chestnuts and freshly baked apples dances around your nose, and the vendors’ gingerbread men,hand made figures, Christmas tree ornaments, toys, and snug warm knitwear are magical while walking where Maria and the children (Sound of Music) played amid the medieval courtyards and streets of the city!
Day 5
We will visit more Salzburg markets, cafes, and castles!
Day 6
Travel to Vienna by train and settle into our hotel. Step into the joy of the holidays with the beautiful streets of Vienna as your backdrop. Hot punch, Glühwein, and chestnut stands draw customers with seasonal treats and stallholders get shoppers in the Christmas spirit with handcrafted goods. After dinner, see the city in all its Christmas time glory at night.
Day 7
Visit the Christmas Market at Schönbrunn Palace and tour the palace’s spectacular interior rooms. Every year some 80 exhibitors from Austria and neighboring countries create a unique atmosphere on the splendidly illuminated Parade court of Schönbrunn Palace. The exclusive products offered include traditional handicrafts, nostalgic toys and lovingly designed Christmas decorations made of glass, wood, ceramics, paper, and tin. Enjoy a Glühwein, a popular hot mulled wine variation, as well as Austrian delicacies such as “Bauerngröstl”, “Kaiserschmarrn”, sweet chestnuts and gingerbread. Schönbrunn Palace is an amazing market of beauty and elegance with sparkling lit up Christmas trees and exquisite hand made items for sale from local artisans.
Day 8
Visit Christmas Markets throughout the city. Vienna has over 20 Christmas markets of every kind imaginable! Decide the itinerary over breakfast, choosing between markets, museums, and coffee houses.
Day 9
Eat breakfast and end our tour in Vienna.
